Serene Pastures Alpacas
Serene Pastures Alpacas is nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. We are located in the tiny town of Middlefield; population 500 people, 22 alpacas and growing! Raising high quality alpacas has long been our dream and has now become a reality. Through education and patience, what began as a small farming endeavor is now a growing enterprise.
Our vision is to develop our farm into one that is not only admired for our exceptional breeding program, but is also respected for our business practices by the entire alpaca community. We strive to breed alpacas with superior genetics, exceptional conformation and pleasant personalities, while offering continuous, caring customer support for our clients.
At Serene Pastures Alpacas, our mission is to be accepted and appreciated as breeders of healthy, high quality huycaya alpacas. We are breeding for alpacas with superior genetics, and fine, dense fiber. We want to play an active role in the continued improvement in the quality of alpacas in the USA.
Currently we have 22 huacaya alpacas in a variety of colors. Most of them are ribbon winners, including Serene Pastures' Armani. Armani has consistently placed second in the large, dark fawn class, in every show he has entered, coming in second only below animals from much larger, very prestigious farms. He recently placed second in the 2006 and 2007 North American Alpaca Shows. Limited outside breedings are now available. His first cria, Serene Pastures' Ezra, will be entering the show circuit beginning with the North American this spring. Watch for him!
