Journey is the first cria for Close-Knit Princess Clare, an Enchantment's Chaparral daughter. Clare is being every bit as wonderful a mother as her own dam, Acero Marka's Hannah, was to her and all her other cria. Uneventful pregnancy, textbook delivery, loads of milk and terrific mothering instincts...Journey is on his way!

Sired by the "Royal Baby Fine" stud, Fleecy Dale Captain Courageous, Journey appears to have inherited his father's gorgeous fleece, in a darker color! Journey has a long staple, very nice density and crimp, superb hand and lovely fineness. Best of all, if Journey becomes a sire himself one day, he is very likely to throw loads of color. His mother has dark rose grey and black all through her lineage, and Journey's sire is what is called a "stealth grey," which means both sides of his parentage are greys, so even though he looks beige on the outside, he is grey through and through...and yet that stud boasts a micron of 18.1 AFD when he was 2.5 and breeding, and is still holding fine with a fleece under 23! Captain has put super density and great fineness on his crias, and Journey is a stellar example of that.

We are unable to get off the farm to show animals, so make him yours and add him to YOUR show string! If time allows, and he's still here, we'll submit his fleece for some competitions and see what happens!
