Casper - Beautiful fiber!
Casper is a beautifully fibered alpaca belonging to Tammie Manning of The Old Homestead in New York. Casper's micron count is 22.5 AFD (avg. fiber diameter)!
Casper is being offered here for sale exclusively by Close-Knit and specifically to the discriminating fiber artist, or to a family seeking the ideal 4-H prospect and pet. Looking for the brightest of whites? Casper is here for you! And yes, he's friendly!
Casper is one of those unusual white alpacas born with blue eyes. He is believed to be deaf (as a result...some BEWs have this associated genetic flaw, which is why most are not ever bred). He has adapted within the herd and takes his cues from the other alpacas.
Casper is a friendly camelid and is easy to approach. He seems to enjoy attention from people and will gently take feed from the hands of both children and adults.
Remember, Casper has exceptional, super bright/white fiber. Just hold it next to the "average white" and you will see a remarkable and obvious difference! Additionally, it is dense and soft with nice crimp. Fiber artists will certainly appreciate his beautiful fiber characteristics. Whether you're an artist or not, you will appreciate the fact that his fiber will always be in demand and you will likely have no trouble selling out of yarns made from his fleece each and every year.
