He is the son of the super fleeced, blue ribboned macho, The Sandman. The Sandman has amazing staple length, density, crimp, brightness, soft handle and fineness to his fleece. He's a big boned stud, and this has carried over to his very square and correct son, Terra Cognita's Exmoor.

Much can be attributed to Exmoor's dam, Sandhill Mahogany Rose, as well. She has a superbly fine, deep and solid maroon fleece with black points. She, too, is well built, with a typy head and all the "teddy bear factor" you could hope for in a production dam. Exmoor has taken the best from each of his parents, as you can see in the photos with this listing.

Exmoor was named for the beautiful Exmoor, England...where Lisa was visiting when he was born. Since he is the color of the stunning purply-raspberry-rose fields stretching for miles across Exmoor, it seemed the most fitting name for him.

Exmoor is boarded at Close-Knit Alpacas, and Lisa plans to agist her alpacas instead of purchase and operate a full-fledged farm, so boarding boys just doesn't make sense. So, she's decided to offer Exmoor to you.
