Commander is only being offered for sale, because he shares a common ancestor with our 12-time ribbonwinning proven herdsire Admiral, and we like to keep the bloodlines of our herdsires diverse. He has truly proven to be a nice male with definite herdsire potential!
The Peruvian Commander-in-Chief was born to our 1/4 Accoyo Bay Black Dam Kiona on October 15th. Commander-in-Chief was found running around the field and nursing when we came home from another alpaca event! At our recent Farm Tour he was a quick favorite among ALL visitors. He's fiery, playful, and growing up to be one head turning junior herdsire!
Commander-in-Chief is a Full Peruvian, Dark Fawn male with Accoyo genetics. His reknowned bloodlines include some of the greats such as Royal Fawn, Black Magic, Castano Bay, and 007. His fleece is buttery soft, and shines like velvet in the sunlight. Not surprising since his Dam is one of the finest females on our farm,with a micron count of 19.8 (when pregnant!) and his Sire has a superfine micron count of 16.4! As he grows older, his fleece grows better, displaying density, fineness, awesome coverage, and beautiful high frequency crimp!
His typey head already resembles that of his Dam, and his confirmation is a reflection of his multi blue-ribbon winning Sire's! We look forward to showing Commander this Fall. That is, if he's not snatched up as a great find in the mean time!!
