MVA Kiona - 1/4 Accoyo
Kiona is a full Peruvian, 1/4 Accoyo, bay black female with ROYAL FAWN Genetics! That's right, the same Royal Fawn that was sold for a record breaking $600,000 is Kiona's Grand Sire! Not only does she have a Royal Fawn heritage through her Dam, but her sire Castano Bay's cria are also selling high, one even going for $86,000,making Kiona truly a girl with amazing potential!
Kiona has good confirmation, great coverage, soft luxurious fleece, and a beautiful true to type head. Even more important though, is that Kiona is a BAY BLACK girl out of the ROYAL FAWN line! Think about the fleece combination that makes! She is a very curious girl, who likes to watch everything that is going on, and more than occasionally comes close enough to give you a 'kiss'. Needless to say, Kiona has quickly become a favorite girl on the farm!
In 2006 Kiona delivered a beautiful dark fawn boy, out of the Full Peruvian, Dark Fawn Herdsire APeruvian Admiral Nelson (not to be confused with our 3/8 Accoyo herdsire, MFG Peruvian Admiral, with whom she is bred now...) . Admiral Nelson has amazing crimp, confirmation, and a 16.4 micron count! The fleece qualities of both Kiona and Admiral Nelson seem to have presented themselves in their already fine and crimpy son Commander!
Kiona has been bred (for a 2007 cria) to MFG Peruvian Admiral, our 3/8 Accoyo dark fawn sire out of the Accoyo Camillio, Camelot, Royal Fawn, Magnum, and Misty Maiden lines! This Sire has amazing crimp, density, and a 16 micron count! AOBA judges are consistently impressed by his fleece, and as recently as the 2006 OABA Alpacafest, have proclaimed him to be the "finest fleeced in the class". Combine that with Kiona's 1/4 Accoyo heritage, dark coloring, and outstanding fineness and a great cria should result. It will be a full Peruvian, more than a 1/4 Accoyo cria with Royal Fawn, Black Magic, Misty Maiden, Accoyo Camillio, and Magnum genetics. Wow!
