Tea Blanca, A CKA Consignment - SOLD

Tea Blanca is owned by Lisa Penhaven of Terra Cognita Alpacas.

Tea ("Tay-ah") was in need of a rescue when her owners decided to move to New Zealand. They had been unable to achieve a pregnancy with Tea, so they sold her to Lisa without any guarantees because of this.

Tea is well conformed and has an incredible, dense, super bundling & crimpy fleece! She has wonderful presence, a gorgeous head & top knot, straight as an arrow top line and terrific bone. She's a big girl, for certain.

Her color, on the surface, appears to be white; but look more closely & she is a fancy rose grey. Her "white" is really a super light silver. You can tell because she has dark rose grey / dark purple-brown spots & markings on her lower legs and underbelly! She has little purple freckles, too, on her face.

She's been living with a stud in their own "space" since mid August '07. She's been bred by the male and here's the latest UPDATE: Progesterone tests taken (1) on 10/26/07 came back 7.68, and (2) on 1/7/08 came back 8.77 indicating pregnancy, plus she's also been regularly spitting off the male as late as 12/04/07, AND Cornell University confirmed pregnancy with an ultrasound March 8th, 2008, revealing a lively fetus!

Because she has not previously had a cria before & there being no way Lisa can guarantee her as a production girl for certain, she is being offered at this low price, WITH her papers. Since she has now been confirmed pregnant and is over 100 days into the pregnancy, Lisa asks that the new owner simply pay for the $1500 stud fee which includes a live cria guarantee along with all other CKA warranties. This means that if, for any reason, a live cria is not born in '08 to Tea, a free re-breeding will be provided for either Tea Blanca, or another female owned by the Buyer.
