Praline is a rich, medium fawn colored four year old Suri. She has a beautiful head and and a pleasant personality. In fact, she's one of the sweetest alpacas on the farm and has a demeanor all owners appreciate.
Her sire, the well-known Gunsmoke, is a dark charcoal, full Peruvian herdsire. Gunsmoke exhibits phenotype with a very upright carriage and strong presence.
Praline's dam, Pattycakes, is a fawn female who is also dam to the award-winning Pepper, a true black female.
Praline is an excellent mother with very dense fleece...highly sought after in suri fiber. Praline's cria exhibit nice pencil locks.
Her first cria, Bit O Honey (fawn), is the Turner's farm greeter, and Kirk's favorite. "She is the tamest, friendliest alpaca that I have ever seen and will walk right up to visitors and greet them." She's a lovely girl & took 2nd place at Palmetto only because Kala's daughter, Allison, was there and took 1st!
Fall of '07, Praline delivered a brown male dubbed "Charley Brown." The Turners hold stringent quality standards for males, in particular, and say he is not herdsire quality but sure to be a very nice pet. Please let us know if you are interested in having this little boy, too, as he is available.
